Donington Park – Race 1 – Grid


Racing commences at Donington Park. 74 – Daniel Singleton accumulated 111 points after Round 3 at Cadwell Park and is still in 5th place. 26 – Glynn Davies extending his lead in the championship to 231 points.

78 – Keith Povah is in second with 179 points. 184 – David Twyford drops to fourth; with 9 – Mark Taylor moving up to third with 136 points.

With the race underway, 74 – Daniel Singleton lead from Pole position with 78 – Keith Povah in 2nd and 9 – Mark Taylor in 3rd.

Lap 2 and 3 saw no change in the top 3.

After lap 4, 78 – Keith Povah took the lead from 74 – Daniel Singleton, with 9 – Mark Taylor remaining in 3rd place.

At the end of lap 5, 78 – Keith Povah still lead the race with 74 – Daniel Singleton only 0.064 seconds behind him in 2nd place. 184 – David Twyford moved up to 3rd and 26 – Glynn Davis into 4th pushing 9 – Mark Taylor into 5th place.

After lap 6 184 – David Twyford had moved into 2nd place passing 74 – Daniel Singleton, now in 3rd. 78 – Keith Povah remained in the lead.

During lap 7, 74 – Daniel Singleton and 184 – David Twyford had a coming together allowing 78 – Keith Povah to take a comfortable win; with 9 – Mark Taylor in 2nd and 26 – Glynn Davies in third.

184 – David Twyford set the fastest lap with 1:16.883 on lap 5.

26 – Glynn Davies extends his lead with 231 Points, with 78 – Keith Povah in second with 179 points. 9 – Mark Taylor moves up a place into 3rd with 136 points with 184 – David Twyford down to forth with 116 points.

Last MRO Minitwin race at Cadwell Park and at the end of lap 1 saw 26 – Glynn Davies take the lead. 74 – Daniel Singleton was in 2nd with 78 – Keith Povah in 3rd.

Lap 2 saw no change to the first 3 places.

After lap 3, 26 – Glynn Davies remained in the lead. 78 – Keith Povah moved in to 2nd and 74 – Daniel Singleton in 3rd.

26 – Glynn Davies took the chequered flag, with 78 – Keith Povah in 2nd and 74 – Daniel Singleton in 3rd place.

With Race 3 underway 78 – Keith Povah took the lead, with 26 – Glynn Davies in 2nd. 74 – Daniel Singleton was in 3rd, ahead of 9 – Mark Taylor in 4th.

Through lap 2 and after lap 3, the leading three did not change and the gap between 74 – Daniel Singleton in 3rd and 9 – Mark Taylor in 4th was increasing.

Lap 4 saw 26 – Glynn Davies take the lead from 78 – Keith Povah who was now in 2nd place. 74 – Daniel Singleton remained in 3rd.

26 – Glynn Davies remained in the lead, with 78 – Keith Povah in 2nd and 74 – Daniel Singleton in 3rd for the next 3 laps.

After lap , 78 – Keith Povah took the lead from 26 – Glynn Davies, now in 2nd place with 74 – Daniel Singleton in 3rd.

26 – Glynn Davies regained 1st place to take the chequered flag, with 78 – Keith Povah in 2nd and 74 – Daniel Singleton in 3rd place.

With Race 2 underway 9 – Mark Taylor took the lead with 78 – Keith Povah in 2nd. 74 – Daniel Singleton currently in 3rd with 26 – Glynn Davies in 4th.

After lap 2, there was no change in the top four with 26 – Glynn Davies 4.790 seconds behind 74 – Daniel Singleton in 3rd.

After lap 3 – 74 – Daniel Singleton had past 78 – Keith Povah and moved up to 2nd place, chasing 9 – Mark Taylor. 26 – Glynn Davies remained in 4th place with 78 – Keith Povah in 3rd.

Lap 4 saw 26 – Glynn Davies move up to 3rd place with 78 – Keith Povah in 4th. 74 – Daniel Singleton was still in 2nd, chasing 9 – Mark Taylor who was in the lead.

Disaster struck with 74 – Daniel Singleton in the last lap, crashing out.

9 – Mark Taylor took the chequered flag with 26 – Glynn Davies 3 seconds behind in 2nd and 78 – Keith Povah in 3rd 13 seconds behind 26 – Glynn Davies.

74 – Daniel Singleton accumulated 66 points after the Oulton Park (Round 2) and is still in 5th place with 26 – Glynn Davies extending his lead in the championship to 136 points.

78 – Keith Povah is in second with 103 points and 184 – David Twyford in third with 86 points.

With the race underway, 74 – Daniel Singleton dropped down to 5th. 78 – Keith Povah took the lead, with 26 – Glynn Davies in 2nd and 9 – Mark Taylor in 3rd.

After lap 2 26 – Glynn Davies took the lead over 78 – Keith Povah now in 2nd and 9 – Mark Taylor in 3rd. 74 – Daniel Singleton remained in 5th.

Lap 3 saw no change in the top 5.

9 – Mark Taylor crashed out in lap 4, allowing 74 – Daniel Singleton to claim 4th place. There was no change in the top 3.

74 – Daniel Singleton remained in 4th chasing the 3 leaders as they took the chequered flag.

26 – Glynn Davies took the win with 78 – Keith Povah in 2nd and 13 – Will Green in 3rd.

With the 2 rounds over and an unfortunate round for 74 – Daniel Singleton, 26 – Glynn Davies opens the lead on the championship.

74 – Daniel Singleton walks away with 66 points and sitting in 5th place in the 2019 Championship.

26 – Glynn Davies extends his lead with 136 Points, with 78 – Keith Povah in second with 103 points. 184 – David Twyford moves up to third with 86 points and 9 – Mark Taylor down to forth with 85 Points.

Further to the problems during Race 1, it was identified that the issue forcing 74 – Daniel Singleton‘s early retirement was a broken down rear coil pack.

Being a member of the Bemsee, the friendliest paddock in club racing; a replacement coil pack was found and fitted. Many thanks to Faith Fueled Racing.

74 – Daniel Singleton now had his work cut out, starting at the back of the grid.

With Race 2 underway 78 – Keith Povah took the lead from starting on pole with 26 – Glynn Davies in 2nd and 184 – David Twyford in 3rd.

After the 1st lap 74 – Daniel Singleton was already in 6th place after an awesome start.

After lap 2, 26 – Glynn Davies remained in the lead followed by 78 – Keith Povah in 2nd with 74 – Daniel Singleton, after moving up to 3rd place hot on his heels.

After lap 3 – 74 – Daniel Singleton had taken the lead and it looked like his determination had paid off. 26 – Glynn Davies was now in 2nd place with 78 – Keith Povah in 3rd and 184 – David Twyford in 4th.

For the next 5 laps, 74 – Daniel Singleton held onto the lead with a battle for 2nd place between 26 – Glynn Davies and 78 – Keith Povah providing seat of the pants racing.

The first 3 riders created a gap of 13.459 seconds in front of 9 – Mark Taylor in 4th place, with 74 – Daniel Singleton taking the chequered flag.

78 – Keith Povah came in 2nd, with 26 – Glynn Davies in 3rd.

74 – Daniel Singleton set the fastest lap with a 1:50.240 during lap 7.

74 – Daniel Singleton said “I fought my very hardest and got a brilliant start battling my way to the front by lap 3 and eventually taking the win. I am obscenely proud about this and think I may have even surprised myself!
