Leo Soilleux Racing – #36 settled in on the Zulu track setting a great time in practice

Q1 and Leo is in 14th (7th Novice) with a lap time of 59.50. If Leo can get a couple of seconds heโ€™s in the top 10; and with 3 seconds in the top 7. Leo is only 9 off the top JSM 90 and 7sec off the second… so he is doing fantastic.

Leo is absolutely mustard through the new infield section much faster than most through it!

Q2 saw Leo Soilleux Racing – #36 improve even more achieving 12th (6th Novice) with a lap time of 57.03.

Roll on tomorrow.

๐—ฅ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐Ÿญ

After qualifying 12 on the grid it wasn’t a good start for Leo. After lap 1 Leo Soilleux Racing – #36 had lost 4 places down to 16th.

As the race went on, Leo Soilleux Racing – #36 maintained his position setting a fastest lap time of 59.68 on his final lap and finishing 9th novice.

๐—ฅ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐Ÿฎ

Starting 12th on the grid once again Leo Soilleux Racing – #36 was pipped as the race started, After lap 1 Leo Soilleux Racing – #36 was in 16th but with the bit between his teeth he past #111 Callum Maxwell moving up and finishing in 15th place (8th Novice) with a best lap of 56.96

Overall result of 12th in the JSM90 class walking away with 7 points.

Roll on Rnd 6 at Teeside

Team Announcement

Charlie Crawt #137 is stepping away from the team.

In mutual agreement, Charlie has decided to step away from the BD Racing Team.

We, at BD Racing have enjoyed working with Charlie through this estranged season (due to COVID). Charlie has decided to allow the opportunity for another rider to experience working with BD Racing.

At the final round with Bemsee at Brands Hatch GP, Charlie is bringing his beloved Minitwin out for a play and also running his NEW R6 in Thunderbike Sports.

We wish Charlie all the best for next season and look forward to catching up in the paddock in 2021.

Charlie Crawtโ€™s Statement

It has been a strange year, with the suspension of Racing due to Covid. Itโ€™s also been an absolute pleasure working with BD Racing UK.

In a mutual agreement, I have decided to step away from the Team to run my own R6 within the Thunderbike Sport Class; and also my Minitwin within the MROโ€™s.

This gives the Team space to embrace and mentor another Rider within the BD Racing Stable during the 2021 Season.

Ian and the Team work hard and their passion for Motorcycle Racing is extraordinary. It has been an absolute pleasure being part of BD Racing and I thank the Team for all their support, both on and off the Track.

See you all at Brands for the final round and I would like to wish Ian, and the Team all the best for the Future.

#36 – BMB – Rnd 4 – Three Sisters

After a 3 hour drive we arrived at the Three Sisters Race Circuit. Ready for Round 4 of the British Minibike Championships and more importantly for the Junior SM90 Class.

We were first out on Saturday Morning for the Junior SM90 / Mini GP Practice 1. Leo settled down well, and whilst getting used to the circuit set a best lap time of 1:52.10.

Junior SM90 / Mini GP Practice 2 was conducted prior to lunch. Leo was looking great, shaving 19.31 seconds of the previous lap time; setting a 1:32.39.

After lunch saw qualifying sessions and things were getting better with Leo getting better and better.
Q1 saw Leo set a 1:26.31 and gaining P19 (11th in Class) and in Q2
P16 1:23.27 (10th in Class).

Sunday morning arrived and a bit of a panic. A rubber bung had come out of the engine. We were able to resolve the issue with a tab washer to retain it and all ready for Warm up.

Warm Up saw Leo set a 1:27.09 on Lap 4 out of 6. The fastest lap time so far this weekend. Awesome weekend so far.

So its time for Race 1 at 3 Sisters.

Leo had a better start and only dropped 1 place down to 19th after starting P18 on the Grid. On lap 6, Leo regained P18 after passing Ollie Brooks #19. Leo finished P18 (15th in Class) and set an even better lap time of 1:22.75. The fastest lap during the weekend.

Sadly due to a serious incident in Race 1 of the Pit Bike Spares Stock 140 Group B Class; all 2nd Races were cancelled for the day. But it was good to here that Nathan Gardner #254 was airlifted to Hospital and is doing OK.

Ready for Cadwell Park – BMCRC R2

#82 – Foo Hinnell’s ready and waiting for Practice Day

BMCRC restarts the Season at Cadwell Park with what should have been Round 7. Due to COVID-19 the ACU suspended all racing and 5 Rounds subsequently cancelled.

Due to restrictions this only saw Ian and Foo travelling to Lincolnshire. This left the remainder of the team at their homes either with specific roles to remotely play or to follow via TSL-Timing.

Practice went well despite the unpleasant high temperatures.

We’re pleased with the performance of the Continental Race Attack Comp tyres that we are running this year; and hopefully next year. With only a few ‘slides’ but we expected this due to the extremely high track temperature. Tyre pressures were experimented with adjustments accordingly.

Foo was happy with the bike set-up of the Team CBR #2 and with a set of fresh tyre’s for the morning roll on qualifying.

Ready for Qualifying – BMCRC (Bemsee) – Cadwell Park Round 2
